A native of Rathangan, Co Kildare, Ursula took a long and winding road to becoming a weather presenter. After teaching for nine years, Ursula gave it all up to study Communications and following a stint as a continuity announcer, leapt at the chance to join RTÉ’s illustrious weather team.
Jean Byrne
Jean Byrne is not a one trick pony, as the Kerry babe also works as a meteorologist for Met Eireann, which means that not only does she present the weather on RTE, but she also prepares the weather report too. Now that’s what we call having plenty of both brains and beauty!
Evelyn Cusack
Evelyn’s assured delivery comes from a wealth of experience as a weather forecaster. After completing an MSc in Physics, Evelyn joined the central forecast team in 1982 and launched the new RTÉ TV weather service in 1988. She has been integral to the service ever since.
Anna Daly
As Ireland AM’s newest presenter, Anna certainly knows how to bring a shine to even the dullest of Irish mornings. Since joining the show, she has become an instant hit with the viewers who have warmed to her friendly delivery and personality.
John Eagleton
You can always rest assured that Gerry knows what he’s talking about when it comes to weather forecasts – he’s been working at Met Eireann since 1992 and is an expert in meteorology and aviation forecasting. He’s been a presenter of weather forecasts on RTE since 2001.
